Jason Kimball, DVM
Chief of Staff
Dr. Kimball grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He initially enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology to Study electrical engineering but realized that was not his passion. Taking two gap years to travel the country, he worked outdoors with animals as a ranch hand in Montana and with a tree surgeon in Louisiana. He found his real passion was for preserving life and went on to graduate from New York University with a degree in biology and continued to a doctorate of veterinary medicine at Colorado State University Veterinary School.
After finishing veterinary school he built a reputation in veterinary medicine and emergency care via DoveLewis Animal & Emergency Urgent Care on the Oregon coast for two years, as well as from a practice in Silverton, OR, where he specialized in small animal and equine care for eight years.
In 2010 Dr. Kimball joined Dr. Sandra Smalley and the team at Edgewood Animal Clinic. He discovered a high quality of medicine and a wonderful clientele at the clinic that felt like home.
Dr. Kimball loves what he does because he gets to be part of “the amazing bond between people and their companion animal family members.”
He and his wife Katy have three sons, two dogs, one cat, and several koi fish. His family enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, traveling, and volunteering.
